UNITED KINGDOM

The United Kingdom may be one entity politically, but it is made up of four very different nations: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. London is an exciting cultural melting pot overflowing with iconic sights such as St. Paul’s Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, the National Gallery and Harrods. A trip west takes in Windsor, the dreaming spires of Oxford, Stonehenge, Roman-Regency Bath finishing in Devon and Cornwall with cream teas, wild moors and picturesque fishing villages. North of London are the Cotswolds, Medieval York, and the glorious Yorkshire Dales and Lake District. In Scotland, visit Edinburgh before heading to Loch Lomond and up through Glen Coe to Fortwilliam gasping at the knock-out views en route. Golfers will love the world-class courses at St. Andrews and Turnberry while anglers will find unparalleled fishing on the rivers Tay, Spey and Tweed. Across the Irish sea is Dublin with its Georgian terraces, music-filled pubs and literary references.
